I’m doing a couple of sequential samples based on the season one episode of Burn Notice entitled “False Flag.”
I decided to draw a scene that always stuck with me because of what happens at the end of the scene. It always hurts to watch.
Lucy Lawless’ character “Eveylyn” has conned Michael into leading her to her target (she’s an assassin, posing to Michael as a mother who’s son is being held by his father). This page picks up right after Michael has figured out what happened and rushed his “new” client into the shack for cover.

Well, its Thursday. For most people that means watching Burn Notice. I have to wait till tomorrow when its up on Hulu. :/
I’m doing a bunch of sequential samples. Part of those samples include a three page Burn Notice adaptation based on the first season episode “False Flag.” For now, here are the roughs to one of the pages.

As some of you may know, my girlfriend’s sister works on both Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. We visited the set for the season two Christmas episode, I’ll have to check but I think I may have posted pics. If not, then I will write up a post about it.
Anyway, Stan “The Man” Lee, will be on an upcoming episode. Jeannette got a chance to talk to Stan and apparently mentioned that Olivia and I are artists (Olivia – animation, Me – comics). Here’s a picture of Jeannette with Stan and what Stan had to say to Olivia and me:
“This me on the set with Stan Lee, he told me to tel you and Zane goodluck with your careers!!!”
- Jeannette
That is soooooo cool. Thanks Stan! I wouldn’t be an artist today without the inspiration as a kid from the awesome characters you created.
- Zane
